Some brief footage from Bill Robinson’s Jazz version of the Gilbert & Sullivan operetta. This was first done on Broadway and became one of the most popular attractions of the New York world’s fair in 1939 and 1940. I’ve backed this silent footage with Chick Webb’s 1934 recording of “let’s Get Together”.
