'Chicago' is a bloated bore – Ginger's 'Black Bottom Hula' is worth the whole damned remake.
Love the way Ginger says "What?!"
It is a wonderfully authentic touch the way Ginger is looking at her feet from 1:42 to 1:50. She certainly wouldn't have to look down to see where she's going in a choreographed dance, but her character would have to do that in a spontaneous dance. Funny how everyone is keeping perfect time to music that isn't playing in the room, but only on the soundtrack.
Why is it so hard to find Afroamerican people dancing to Black Bottom?
WISH SHE WOULD'VE DANCE IT LIKE THE ORIGINATOR OF THE BLACK BOTTON "MILDRED MELROSE".
