Golden Gate Bridge Collegiate Shag Dancing

Posted by Dance

There is history all around us (Vintage Golden Gate Bridge photos at the end of video). We had a great time dancing Collegiate Shag in front of this iconic bridge in San Francisco.
.
.
#DidYouKnow the bridge’s two main cables are each 7659 feet long, over three feet in diameter, and contain 27,572 parallel wires. .
.
Also there was an #Earthquake before the bridge was finished in June 1935.
.
.
Golden Gate Bridge cost of $27 million back then, which is the equivalent of $1.5 billion in today’s dollars.
.
.
The bridge was almost painted black and yellow but was painted #orange instead… here I always thought it was red. .
.
Have you ever been to the bridge?
